My name is Julia Broome. I have been training clients since 2007. In my many years of experience in health and fitness, I have discovered that I am deeply passionate about working with women. I specialize in training women who are either trying to become pregnant, who are pregnant, or who are postpartum.
There are many benefits to exercising while pregnant. Kids born from moms who exercise are leaner, stronger, and are less likely to experience obesity as a child. If women knew all the positive effects of exercising while pregnant, they wouldn't be able to stand for any excuse not to exercise.
As a child, my father died at a very young age (38) from heart disease. I come from a family of weight struggles and heart disease. I was deeply impacted by my father's death; I believe it has, in part, inspired me to share this information with women. What we experience as children can make a strong impression on us and can have lasting effects.
Deciding to become a parent is a huge responsibility; your influence will greatly shape who your child becomes. With rising obesity rates and cardiovascular disease, what better gift to give your child than that of health? It is common knowledge that certain activities, such as excessive alcohol intake, can have detrimental effects on the fetus, but I am not sure how commonly known the positive effects of exercise are.
It is safe and highly encouraged by ACOG (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) that pregnant women engage in regular exercise. If you are on that journey I would be honored to share my knowlege with you and guide you in a custom designed exercise program so that you are providing the healthiest environment for your little one as well as being strong and healthy for your delivery, recovery, and life as a new mom!

I highly recommend Julia as a trainer. She is super knowledgeable both about anatomy and about which exercises best match the appropriate muscles.....In my 40+ years I have had a few dings here and there with my knees and hips, and she has structured my workouts to accommodate those with NO PAIN. She also makes sure that I am challenged every single workout - she pushes me, but then she's not screaming in my face either. It's a comfortable vibe, very supportive, but she pushes me to improve my strength, which was my goal in the first place. I highly recommend her as a trainer - you won't regret it. She wants to see you get better and stronger - she really does thrive on results.
Julia’s personal training sessions are more than just reps and muscle building. She helps set SMART goals and knows exactly how hard to push and when to slow things down. She helps me channel my own inner body strength by building up my confidence as well as drive. The best part about Julia is that she helps you see that in the end, you are the one making the changes and she is the tool that helped you get there. Not only did Julia help me loose my post baby weight, she carefully guided me thru exercises due to couple of injuries I have. I couldn’t recommend her enough! She’s educated, takes her time to listen and understand my goals and she makes things happen!
