About Kacey

Kacey Akapa Chaska (Young Star) is a combat and fitness expert with strong mixed tribal Quechua roots. Inspired by his mother, who studied kung fu under Grandmaster Alan Lee in the 80’s, Kacey began his martial arts career at age 13. He honed his skills throughout his adolescence and early adulthood by training in multiple martial arts schools and practicing self defense on the street. He has since evolved into a fitness and combative expert who graduated from the American Academy of Personal Training. He currently holds 11 years of combative experience in a variety of militant disciplines such as Muay Thai, Modern Combative Ninjitsu Kogaryu (Japanese military WWII), Boon Tow Kung Fu (mainly Hun Gar Kwen), Choy Lee Fut, San Sao (Chinese Military), Western Boxing, and Hiko Ryu Taijitsu   (practiced by the Narcotics Suppression Bureau Royal Thai Police, Vietnam military, the Philippine National Police SWAT, the Dalai Lama’s security, the United States military). Like his masters and grandmasters, he strives to train the military and open his own martial arts school one day.

The first thing I would like to say is that Kacey is very professional! I have never felt uncomfortable around him, and he has a certain energy that helps motivate you to want to succeed. He is also patient and willing to accommodate pre-existing injuries (I have one on my left knee). I also feel comfortable asking him for advice on my diet - growing up in a Sicilian household there was a lot of spaghetti and fried/breaded pork chops.
