Four years ago, when I started training with Kristy, I was afraid to even be in the gym. She brought me into a private space, and slowly built my confidence, set my work outs up to achieve, weight loss, endurance, strength. Four years later, I am training for a triatholon. I am 64 years old. Kristy brought me here. Working out with her is so satisfying. She is smart, intuitive, can switch something up if it needs to happen. Thoughtful, strong, mighty. If you want a trainer who makes you work for it, and models health herself, Kristy is your trainer.
Kristy may sometimes work you so hard (meaning effectively!) that you might feel like running from the gym. At least I do. But because training with Kristy is a great investment in yourself, you will also come back for more. Any good or decent trainer can help you become buff and muscled and achieve your fitness goals. But Kristy does not does not settle for simply helping you look good -- she is committed to helping her clients actually be 'body-healthy'. Towards that end she actually watches every single rep the client does in each set. (This is rare since so many trainers pay more attention to their cell-phones than their client's execution of the exercise routines). Not only does proper form help the client maximize the benefits of the exercise and gets her money's worth but, as I am learning from Kristy, poor form can also be an indicator of some issue/problem with one's body. For example I learned from Kristy that the splaying of one foot during squats suggested unusual tightness in a certain area of hip. Besides being amazed (and grateful) that Kristy knew this much about the anatomy and the body to recognize this. I appreciated her explaining some causes for the tightening and showing me simple exercises to correct the issue. She works you so hard that you will feel like running from the gym but you will also come back for more. Lastly I note that Kristy is absolutely professional. She arrives on time and where she may be late she ALWAYS sends a text message. When she expects to be away on a scheduled training day she ALWAYS notifies the client in advance and will work with the client to train on another day.
Kristy is the BEST. Prior to beginning training, I had little to no physical activity in my regular routine and was feeling sluggish, overly tired, and somewhat self-conscious about the way my body looked. I began to see Kristy three times a week and after a few months I felt significantly better - I had more energy and stamina and my body was noticeably stronger and more toned. Sessions were hard work but were fun, and I always left the gym feeling better than I did when I came in. Not only is Kristy super knowledgeable when it comes to physical fitness, she also knows a ton about wellness in general and is always willing to talk to her clients about how they can improve their overall well-being. In fact, she often went out of her way to seek out specific information to help tailor an overall fitness/wellness plan to my particular needs. Needless to say, I really can't recommend Kristy enough. If you're serious about getting in shape--and want to have some fun while doing it--Kristy's your gal. 100%.
