About Miguel

There’s a saying “If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.” Not only do I love what I do, but I am passionate about helping others reach their goals and teaching them that their body is capable of so much more than they imagined. I believe that educating my clients in fitness and what movement they are preforming is crucial to building their awareness and demolishing their fitness goals. 


I like to think of a typical session with me, being far different than your experience with any other trainers. I bring the energy, the challange and the motivation to a session that will make it both effective and enjoyable. I mean, who wants to work out with someone who’s just counting down numbers for 60 minutes? Not I!


All of my clients have come with different end goals, different body types, they vary in age and range in knowledge about fitness. That being said, I cater to my clients differences and research workouts that are appropriate for each of them as the individuals that they are. The only thing I expect from any and every client is effort. 


I became a trainer simply because I enjoy making a difference. So whether you are training to become an athlete, to lose weight, to gain muscle, to correct your form, to become more flexible, whatever the case may be; let me help you make that difference in your life.

Miguel is the best trainer I’ve worked with for 3 reasons I never saw in past 4 trainers I’ve worked with. 1. He’s very knowledgeable about exercises and pays a lot of attention to proper form, which has led to my lower back and knees not taking the bashing they used to take. 2. He’s taught me so much about eating, it’s helped me really see a real change, and feel it too. 3. He’s a genuine guy that actually cares and is very responsive when in need of information. He’s a dope dude that just supports the wrong basketball team, but we all can’t be perfect.

Since I’ve began working with Miguel I’ve notIced that everything I thought I knew about muscle groups and combinations were incorrect. There are so many theories in the fitness world, but Miguel has helped me understand the fitness world through an apt personal trainer’s eyes. In terms of my workouts with Miguel, I love them! I like to lift weights and I like to increase my weight gradually. With Miguel’s help, I’ve been able to lift more weight than I thought possible. Women are afraid to lift because they don’t want to bulk, but rather tone (toning isn’t a thing). These are HUGE myths. Miguel is a great spotter and constantly ensures that my form is always on point first and foremost. Miguel always, always ensures my form is correct! I thoroughly enjoy my sessions with Miguel - the sessions are fun, certainly physically challenging and educational. Training with Miguel has definitely been worth my while. He creates workouts that target my fitness goals and current physical abilities. He has made modifications to my workouts when I experienced a foot injury. And unlike other trainers I've trained with, Miguel is knowledgeable about all things related to the body and if you are unsure about something fitness related and you ask him, he will research it and share that information with you to keep you in the know. Miguel is genuinely an enthusiastic and approachable guy. He makes the workouts fun, challenging and innovative. Training with this guy is NOT basic at all (basic is boring). I would definitely recommend anyone interested in training to reach out to him!

I've worked with trainers for the last 10 years and I have had a great experience with Miguel. Miguel is on-time to our sessions and really cares - I appreciate that he incorporates both technical knowledge and assessment to our sessions. Miguel frequently checks in throughout the week to see how I am feeling which I appreciate and I'm constantly impressed with his attention to detail and patience with me - especially when I'm struggling with the correct form or more complicated exercises. He also has a good attitude - Everytime I find myself being self-doubting he will respond with positive comments. Overall I am pretty happy with the mix of technical basis for the exercises, assessments and the actual exercises themselves.
