About Shayna

While working as a professional actress & singer in NYC and across the country for the past 5 years, I have learned how important it is to take care of your body and your health. My love of eating healthy and staying active led me to pursue a career in health & fitness a few years ago, and I have helped many people across the country achieve their goals! My specialties include weight loss, hypertrophy, mobility, flexibility, circuit training (I absolutely love H.I.I.T.!), nutrition coaching, meap prep coaching, & healthy recipe development.

Worked at corporate gyms for a couple years, but much prefer this environment in which a trainer and a client can really bond and see progress without a fitness manager breathing down our necks.

Working with Shayna completely turned my life around. I ate pretty healthy most of the time, but working with Shayna brought my nutrition to the next level. She taught me about macronutrients and provided incredible suggestions for snack swaps. Her recommendations completely changed the way I look at food. In terms of fitness, Shayna really understood my goals and knew exactly what I should do to get me there. She created an incredibly in depth workout regimen for me, opening my eyes to exercises I would have never done at all! I went from being a woman who only went to spin class and lifted the occasional dumbbell to someone who was going to the "men's side" of the gym and squatting more than 100 lbs of weight. Never in my life would I thought I was ever capable of that, but with Shayna I accomplished so many goals and tried so many new things. Shayna really is the entire package. From nutrition to fitness, Shayna's knowledge really is unparalleled. Where to start?! Shayna has been everything I could have hoped for in a trainer. Let's start with the physical stuff: I have always been consistently active, but for me that meant yoga and running and nothing more. After ONE leg day with her I felt confident and comfortable enough to start squatting 160lbs regularly. She helped me zero in and focus on form which, as a runner, is invaluable. Shayna gave me tips for keeping my feet and spine in line with one another, which made it easy to focus on progress instead of just focusing on how much I could or could not lift. My alignment got better, as well as my strength. Doing HIIT workouts with her are my favorite, though. She does the workouts with me so we can push through the struggle together! She is so driven and she pushes herself so hard that it inspires me to go faster and harder just to keep up. I have a personal goal of trying to beat her in a HIIT sprint one day! But what I actually love most about working with her is not the physical aspect of her training, but the mental support that she offers and openly shares with her clients. She explained to me that exercise, while it can be very much about how our bodies look, is much more about FEELING good and capable and strong. When we feel good in our bodies, we start to love and take care of our bodies, which ultimately makes us look and feel happier. She always says that "the most important thing is listening to what your body wants and needs" and it has given me so much intuitive perspective about my health that I could not have had without her. I no longer focus on how my body LOOKS, but what my body can DO--which, ironically, has helped shift and change the way my body looks for the better.

Working with Shayna has been a pleasure. I've always disliked working out and paying attention to my lifestyle. When I met Shayna she helped me change my habits, and look at working out in a different light. I've dropped 20lbs and counting and put on so much lean muscle with her, even though I do have my mishaps, she always finds a way to lead me to the right path. If you really need help, and need someone who actually cares, Shayna is the one for you. Just don't take my training slot!

It took me a long time to make a decision on getting a trainer, as I’ve never been a fan of working out, and the thought of changing my eating habits gave me goose bumps every time I thought about it. Shayna helped me get to where I am today, she helped me change my eating habits slowly but surely, now I make better decisions when I chose my food and it shows. She also makes all of our workouts enjoyable and it's now become something I look forward to each week.
