About Spencer
I'm an ACE certified personal trainer with 9 years of experience in the field. I have advanced certifications in body sculpting and weight management and have learned under the tutelage of some of the biggest brains in the industry. I've worked for David Barton Gym, NYSC, and Equinox and have taken methods, philosophies, and information from all three. I've studied musculoskeletal and anatomical mechanics and am certified by the American Council on Exercise (cert #T151904).
I've helped dozens of people attain fitness goals, including the following:

I've worked with people as young as 16 and as old as 80. For this reason, I'm a big "safety first" trainer. The most important aspect of the workout, to me, is the form and technique, the modifications we need to make to fit your body, and our ability to work hard without compromising our joint structures or wellness. I don't want my clients to compromise their wellness or health, even if it might mean reaching our goal more quickly. It's not worthwhile to reach the mountaintop if it kills you to get there, after all. Safety first, work hard, and keep climbing. You can do it!
My training philosophy
I like to create a supportive and positive atmosphere that engages fitness goals, body sculpting, and exercise without a focus on negative self-image or negative self-talk. I believe in teaching strong fundamentals of movement and technique and guiding my clients toward having the best, safest exercise form possible. I push my clients because I know what they're capable of.
My training experience
I've worked for NYSC, Equinox, and David Barton Gym and have been training as an independent trainer since 2017. I've been in the industry for almost a decade and have worked and learned under some of the top trainers in the city. All I want to do now is use my gathered knowledge and capabilities to help people achieve higher levels of fitness and wellbeing.
