I am a 72 year old fellow trained by Steve. I appreciate his training style — moderately increasing the difficulty of exercises to a point where I am not conscious of my improvements. Steve plans sessions. He also keeps adding new exercises. Sessions are not repetitive or boring. I also have a problem with one knee. He has aided me in relieving pain in that knee by gradually strengthening my thigh muscles. In sum, I recommend him to you.
I started training with Stephen because I had some sports injuries from a few years back that were bothering me. After an assessment, Stephen tailored a routine which has drastically reduced the pain and increased my mobility just after a few sessions. I continue to train with him and would highly recommend him to anyone looking to get fit and work through some nagging injuries. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable, but he is a pleasure to train with.
I have been training with Stephen for the past 6 months and am already pleased with my results. I started working with him due to lower back and neck pain which was exasperated when I lifted weights. Steve has a physical therapy background so is very good about tailoring a workout to the individual. He is flexible and good to work with and is constantly introducing new things.
I have worked with other specialists in the past, but I have to say Steve is someone I plan on working with for as long as possible. He really knows how to treat people, and he is extremely knowledgeable. It's such a pleasure to train with him. I immediately knew I was working with the right person after our first session. I've worked with Stephen/MedWell for a year. Stephen is extremely knowledgeable and focuses on your goals as well as your overall fitness. His PT experience gives him insight into when to push, and when to hold back, thereby tailoring your workout. Definitely not a cookie-cutter trainer like at the gym. I have a herniated disk- and Stephen has created workouts to strengthen my back without aggravating the injury. In addition to that, he has a great way about him, and is a nice guy. If you are unsure about needing a trainer, give him a shot.?
Stephen is the best!! He is an excellent personal trainer who knows exactly what is appropriate for your ability and your age. He knows how much to push and when to stop. He also has physical therapy training and can address all aches and pains!! Longest time I have been with a trainer.
