I had the chance to train with Doug during a spur-of-the-moment session. I mention the timing because it speaks very much to Doug's training style: Creative, enthusiastic, willing and encouraging. He saw a lost soul at the gym staring into a full workout class, and took a free hour of his day to (literally) show me "the ropes" at the gym. I've always been athletic and love working out. I love a good challenge and a good coach. I also love variety, learning new movements, and pushing myself. But sometimes, someone else pushing you is just what you need. After getting my basic info, Doug put me through a series of exercises that I had never tried before. Kettle bells, ropes, new stability-based movements, etc. were the name of the game. He taught them quickly and effectively, then put me to work. It was absolutely awesome and unexpected. And my three-day soreness afterward was entirely welcome. If you need a great trainer who isn't messing around (but is still a warm-hearted human), then you need Doug!
I would like to emphasize the satisfaction I received by taking sessions with Doug. He has helped me achieve my health, nutrition and body composition goals. He is the best and most knowledgeable Personal Trainer that I have worked with.

Not only is Doug an incredibly inspiring and insightful trainer, he is also a healer. When I began working with Doug in December, I was living with painful leg injuries from the NYC marathon that were not improving, even after a few months of physical therapy...and I hadn’t been able to lift my right arm over my head for about six months due to shoulder pain. Within weeks of working with Doug, the shoulder pain disappeared and I regained full movement—it’s good as new. And after about a month of Doug's workouts, I was able return to running. Now, I am back to running most days of the week, including long runs of 10 miles. And thanks to the personalized full-body workouts he created for my unique needs and goals, I am stronger and faster. On top of all that, Doug has generously shared his abundant knowledge of diet and nutrition to help boost my body’s natural healing processes. Plus, he’s absolutely delightful company, too! Training with him is the best investment I have made in my health.
I've contacted Doug because I had to tone up and lose some inches for my modelling job and he helped me reach every goal I had for my body in 2 months! He's a very professional and friendly trainer. We worked by video chat since I'm from Milan and he gave me a workout and meal plan that was highly effective but still very easy to follow, with clear directions. He helped me form healthy workout habits, which I never had, and I'm very grateful for the work we had done in these months. Doug is great. I had my first session with Doug last week. He was very careful to assess and understand my current fitness level and goals, and offered a lot of useful information. He wasted no time in getting me going with a well-designed first workout. I wasn’t sore the next day. I have had multiple trainers over the years, and Doug seems like he is going to be among the best. His nutrition expertise is an added bonus.
