However, there are some general guidelines. Before our first training session,we perform a thorough assesment and gauge strength, range of motion and conditioning. We review limitations, internal and external stressors that may affect training and establish short and long term goals. This is done prior to our programming. We start with a dynamic warm up and if need be some additional facilitated stretching. Next, we perform our most complex movement or the most difficult lift. We allow for time in between to fully recover and review the technical aspects of the movement/lift. Next, we perform accessory movements that help facilitate the primary lift/movement. If the client is up to it. I like to end with some high intensity cardio as a finisher. Afterwards, I manually stretch the client.
