About Luke
I am an honors graduate of Clemson University and have been a NYC based Personal Trainer for 17 years. I started my career with Equinox and quickly became one of their Tier III trainers. For the past 15 years, I have been a freelance Personal Trainer, training clients in home gyms and private clubs. For over 12 years I raced as a competitive age group triathlete and runner. I have completed 11 Ironman races, including the World Championships in Hawaii. Running highlights include completing the 2004 NYC marathon in a time of 3:01. I specialize in individualized, functional training and train a variety of clients, from young athletes to retired clients focused on general health and wellness. I focus on all aspects of fitness - muscle strength, muscle endurance, cardio/respiratory fitness, flexibility, body composition, balance and coordination. Training Areas Served
I love training with Luke. His workouts are challenging yet fun. He's always mixing things up and pushing me to the next level. Best of all, his routines are a huge time saver. I work out the same amount as in the past, but with Luke the results are like nothing I was able to achieve either on my own or with other trainers.
I started training with Luke 4 years ago when I was 69 with no gym experience other than using the treadmill. As a trainer he has been incredibly supportive, demanding but always careful to avoid injury, knowledgeable about the anatomy of training, quick to rework routines as needed and always fun to work with. The proof of his skill came when I joined a group of 30 and 40 year olds, hiking icy glaciers in Iceland this January, never falling behind. At 73 I have never been this fit, all thanks to Luke’s superb skill as a trainer.
