I am very effective at coaching people to move with the correct form, and this is possible after the proper warm-up and inclusion of a conditioning phase to prepare the body to move its own weight, and then add on loads. Understanding how your body moves is essential to your progress. I focus on correct form. I will provide you with both the knowledge and the physical experience necessary in order to reach your strength, fitness, and weight loss goals.I have helped many people transition from physical therapy back to strength training workouts in the gym. Also, I have helped many clients before and after pregnancy and surgery. When a person comes from physical therapy, I build on the foundational work of the physical therapist, and their assessment, diagnosis of the problem and the specific prescription of exercises.For my clients to be able to adhere to the strength training plan, there is a lot more work that needs to be done to integrate the problem area into whole body movement. The underlying history of circumstances and imbalances that produced the overuse injury are still there, and I work with people to be consistent about performing the conditioning and stretching necessary for long term recovery.
